Earnings season is set to ramp up this week. I'm tied up this morning with the kids home on a snow day. I may end up going skiing tomorrow to capitalize on the snow/kids at school, so I may not be around tomorrow either.
Set a new record on Friday for biggest % loss ever on a long straddle. I bought a straddle in ELV for $6.80, and sold it with 2 minutes to close for 15 cents. Would have been the greatest short straddle of all time, but unfortunately I was long and it was arguably the worst straddle of all time. Thankfully, I was able to offset some of the loss with a straddle in STNG. I also had chances to bail on ELV and remain well up on the day with the STNG straddle gains, but decided to "press it" because my straddles always seem to hit max profit at EOD... except for this one which went for about as close to max loss as it gets.
Also, last week's sell off in bitcoin names had to be one of the greatest examples of "buy the rumor, sell the news" in recent times. I can't believe how smoked btc names got following the approval of spot btc ETFs. Some of the gains on wkly puts are downright absurd, none of which I owned or played, of course.

Thinking aloud here, but I'd be interested to see what happens with the Grayscale btc fund which is/was trading a massive discount to NAV, if it can be rolled into an ETF.
