Sold STX puts when stock spiked to 115 and pretty much instantly regretted it.. IV was marked somewhere around 150% and figured IV would drop, which it did, but it didn't drop faster than the stock itself. Quickly bailed on the short, which was fortunate as it would have been a 5x loser.. this is why I prefer long volatility strategies.. thankfully I trade small on the short side relative to my much larger long vol trades.
