Here are some changes in short interest that I find... interesting. The short interest numbers were disseminated on October 9, 2015 based on settlement from September 30, 2015. These are listed in no particular order, but DOW, SHOP, EROS and OLN are arguably the most interesting. Disclaimer: don't blame me if you follow the shorts and get your face ripped off in a squeeze.
1. S: +19.3% to 25.6% of the float, SI at 1yr highs. SI is currently 9.8% higher than the previous high set back in August 14, 2015
2. FCX: +30.4% to 9.7% of the float, SI at 1yr highs. SI is currently 20.6% higher than the previous high set back on August 31, 2015.
3. DOW: +62.1% from its previous SI update, which had marked the highest short interest of the past year Short interest now stands at 7.4% of the float, and has increased 298% since August 31, 2015.
4. SYY: +101% to 8.9% of the float, SI at 1yr highs and 42% higher than the previous high reported on February 27, 2015.
5. OLN: +58.5% to 35.4% of the float and it's previous update had been the 1 year high in short interest. Short interest has increased 170% since August 31, 2015.
6. LC: +18.2% to 19.9% of the float. SI currently at 1 year highs and 15.62% higher than the previous SI high set back on June 15, 2015.
7. MEG: +29.2% to 15.9% of the float. SI currently at 1 year highs and the last update was its previous 1 year high.
8. AR: +29.6% to 21.6% of the float. SI currently at 1 year highs and 23.9% higher than the previous SI high set back on August 31, 2015.
9. EROS: +141.6% to 12.7% of the float. SI currently at 1 year highs and the prior update was its previous 1 year high.
10. SHOP: +55.5% to 27.8% of the float. SI currently at 1 year highs, with SI increasing each update since IPO.
